Entertainment does not have to be expensive. Reminiscing with those close to you becomes easier when you are able to experience so much more. Entertainment on a budget is easier than you think.

  1. Botanical gardens and nature reserves

Walks, hikes, concerts and picnics surrounded by nature is a great and cost-effective way to entertain yourself and friends.

  1. Local bike tours

Many towns and communities offer bicycle tours. It’s a refreshing way to learn more about the surroundings while entertaining yourself on a budget.

  1. Farmer’s markets

Enjoying fresh, quality produce and being able to support your local communities and farmers at the same time is an excellent and cheap form of entertainment.

  1. Bring-and-braai

Charcoal, flames and juicy boerewors is all you need. Throw in some good company who bring their nourishment, and cheap entertainment is taken care off.

  1. Find and listen to podcasts

If you haven’t heard of a Podcast, you’ve been missing out. A podcast is a story or interview in an audio format which you can subscribe to on Apple iTunes and Google Play. The range of topics is enormous and will keep you entertained for hours and hours as most podcasts are free. Free entertainment at its best.
